The aim of the Manufactured Yorkshire Conference (MY13) in Huddersfield next month is to bring together manufacturers and suppliers for a day of learning, collaboration and networking to ultimately strengthen trade links.

A truly stellar cast of manufacturing heavyweights will gather at the John Smith’s Stadium on 14 May. The theme of the day is “The Future of Manufacturing”.

Speakers lined up to share knowledge and best practice include Barry Sheerman MP, Terry Scouler, CEO of EEF, Mike Jones, HR Director for Siemens plc & north west Europe, Alex McWhirter, Chief Executive of Finance Yorkshire, Mark Robson, Regional Director of UKTI, Neil McLean, outgoing Chair of Leeds LEP and Mark O’Reilly, Chairman of Team Humber Marine Alliance.

The  MY13 seminars – some sector specific - will be run in a Q&A style covering not only the future of manufacturing but also exporting, skills for growth, funding and supply chain as well as opportunities in renewable Industries. There’s also a “Meet the Buyer” session with Richard Alan Engineering, various business clinics, an exhibition hall housing 50 manufacturers and suppliers and unlimited networking for all present.

The good news is that places are free to delegates and can be booked now via the website www.manufacturedyorkshire.com
