Exporting to the EU: Customs, Compliance & New Packaging Rules (PPWR)

Online Workshop

The European Union continues to introduce new regulations affecting businesses exporting goods into the EU. Alongside established customs and documentation requirements introduced after Brexit, exporters must now prepare for the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which begins applying from 12 August 2026.

Understanding how these requirements fit together is becoming increasingly important. From customs procedures and Rules of Origin to packaging compliance and emerging environmental legislation, exporters need to ensure their goods meet EU requirements before shipment.

This practical workshop provides an overview of the key customs, documentation and compliance requirements for UK exporters, with a particular focus on the new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). It also introduces other developing EU regulations, including CBAM, helping businesses understand where further specialist knowledge may be required.
