Chamber International showcases pioneering management software at major trade fair

Chamber International’s pioneering business management tool ‘edge’ got a thumbs up from potential customers when it was demonstrated at its first trade exhibition this autumn.

Innovative cloud-based software system ‘edge’, which helps businesses streamline their processes and reduce document errors through improved data integration and easier use, was met with enthusiasm when it went on show at Northern Manufacturing & Electronics, Event City, Manchester in September.

edge is the result of a detailed two-year research and development project by Chamber International in partnership with Edinburgh-based software company, Morgan Goodwin. It applies the latest software to give businesses a system which combines a far wider range of functions with being cost-effective, logical and straightforward to use.

The ability to access client records, control stock, issue quotations, create trade documents and raise invoices to fulfill export orders from anywhere in the world using a smart phone, or any web-linked device, is all available within the system.

Chamber International corporate account manager, Nikki Clow (pictured below), who was closely involved in edge’s development, and senior associate, David Attia, demonstrated the software to dozens of businesses at the two-day exhibition which is the biggest in the north serving the manufacturing and electronics industries.

Among business sectors attending at the exhibition were automotive, aerospace, defence, electrical, electronic engineering, handling, industrial machinery, mechanical engineering and metal processing.

David Attia says: “This was a very busy busy fair and we had the chance to engage with several Northern businesses to discuss how edge can streamline some of their functions and also to talk about Chamber International’s trade and export services, so it was a very useful exercise which may lead to sales.”

Chamber International director, Tim Bailey, says: “Exhibiting is a good way to bring the edge brand to life and give businesses an opportunity to meet the people behind it as well as connecting with a large number of business people who are curious to see what’s new and could add value for them and their operations.

“We will be attending more events of this kind specifically to showcase edge. In 2017 we hope to attend Multimodal at the NEC which is in its 10th tenth year and is the UK and Ireland's premier freight transport, logistics and supply chain management event and the largest logistics exhibition in Europe.”
