UK Businesses Prepare for Strategic Growth as 2026 China & Hong Kong Trade Mission Announced

24 November 2025

With Asia continuing to lead global economic expansion, UK exporters are increasingly exploring ways to access fast-growing markets. China and Hong Kong remain two of the most influential trade hubs in the region, offering opportunities in advanced manufacturing, green technologies, retail, infrastructure, e-commerce and professional services.

A new 2026 trade mission aims to give UK companies direct access to decision-makers, site visits and tailored business briefings in both locations. The visit will be led by James Mason, CEO at the West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, and Nikki Clow, Head of International Trade at Chamber International, with a strong focus on market-access guidance and compliance support, ensuring delegates receive reliable advice on regulatory requirements, customs, documentation and key market-entry considerations.

Why it matters: For many businesses, breaking into Asia can feel complex. This mission is designed to remove barriers, build confidence and open doors through local insights and structured in-market experiences.

Registration: To help businesses assess whether the 2026 mission is the right fit, we are hosting a free informational webinar providing an overview of the itinerary, market-access opportunities and the compliance considerations involved in trading with China and Hong Kong.

The session will also outline the support available to delegates before, during and after the visit, offering companies a practical starting point for planning their international growth.Companies can now submit an expression of interest and attend the webinar via Eventbrite.

The mission highlights the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to helping UK firms compete and grow in international markets through hands-on support, expertise and practical trade facilitation.
