Shulmans’ international expertise shortlisted in Law Society Excellence Awards

A Leeds-based corporate law firm, whose founding partner, Jeremy Shulman, is an Export Network ambassador with Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership’s We are International initiative, has been shortlisted for a major award for its international work.
Shulmans LLP, a UK Top 200 Law Firm, has been shortlisted for the Excellence in International Legal Services Award at The Law Society Awards 2015. The award recognises law firms with an innovative approach to delivering legal services internationally.
Shulmans LLP supports a wide range of international work including property investment from China, commercial agency and patent matters from Norway, joint ventures in the Middle East, software consultancy from Syria, litigation from Italy and regulatory advice for the USA and Canada.
The firm is also a leading member of Interlegal, a network of independent commercial law firms across the world.
The Law Society Awards celebrate the very best work in the legal profession and is one of the most popular events of the year, expected to attract hundreds of people from across the industry to the ceremony at the prestigious Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London. Shulmans is hoping win against five firms globally to win the prize on October 22.
Jeremy Shulman established the firm, which now employs more than 150 people, in 1981. He specialises in corporate, employment and international law, and has 29 years’ legal experience in international trade, covering virtually every sector and country. He was appointed an Export Network ambassador in 2014.

We are International is a LEP initiative in partnership with international trade specialists Chamber International, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) Yorkshire, Enterprise Europe Network and MY Export Hub and aims to add £1.6bn to the City Region economy and create thousands of jobs by 2018.
