One-stop-shop Meet The Experts export event for Leeds Business Week

A special export networking event is being held by Chamber International jointly with Yorkshire Mafia on October 14 as part of Leeds Business Week.

Export ambassadors from Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership’s We are International initiative will attend the Meet The Experts event at Deloittes, Leeds, to give one-to-one help and advice to businesses wanting to get involved with overseas trade.

The two-hour event, which starts at 4pm, will feature a series of brief talks by export ambassadors from a wide range of sectors to outline their specialist overseas trade expertise after which novice exporters will be able to consult them individually.

Experts from specialist overseas trade body Chamber International, Bradford, will also be on hand to answer technical questions about exporting, from trade procedures to logistics and product conformity issues.

Chamber International director, Tim Bailey, says: “This is a rare opportunity for businesses considering starting exporting to visit a one-stop-shop and access a huge amount of experience and technical expertise in one room. We look forward to welcoming businesses which want to get their overseas trade campaigns underway and those which want to brush up their expertise.” 

Leeds Business Week runs from October 13 to 17 and features hundreds of events aimed at business owners, executives, professionals and not-for-profit organisations.

Chamber International assists chambers of commerce with a wide range of specialist international trade services and is also supporting Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) by delivering its We are International export campaign, which aims to being an extra £1.6bn to ten local authority areas and create thousands of new jobs in the next five years.
