New platform to speed Hapag container moves

Hapag-Lloyd has become the first ocean carrier in the UK to offer the reUse container management services offered through Avantida, a subsidiary of the INTTRA ocean shipping portal.

The application allows the re-use of import containers for export shipments of the same shipping company.

Hapag Lloyd said Avantida would allow it to better manage container re-use and simplify the request process and speed up response times for its hauliers.

Some 13 ocean lines in Europe have already adopted the Avantida platform.
