7 November 2013

SMEs wishing to develop mutual trade relationships within the Indian sub-continent, which has a healthy, fast-growing economy, have a major opportunity to make new contacts at a London event this month.

A delegation of 50 Indian manufacturing SMEs, from areas including New Delhi and Maharashtra, are attending the day-long UK SME Business Meet at 51, Buckingham Gate, London, which starts at 9.30am on November 18.

The meeting has been organised by The High Commission of India, the National Small Industries Corporation, the SME Chamber of India and the UK-India Business Council, London.

The Indian SMEs, from sectors including business finance, textiles, oil and gas, petrochemicals, rubber molded components and manufacturing from brass, are seeking symbiotic businesses relationships to increase their trade within the sub continent as well as throughout the UK.

A prime aim of the event is to create face-to-face meetings between interested companies and support initial discussions. Members of the UKIBC team, based at Millbank Tower, London,  as well as corporate members specialising in trade and investment, commercial law and international accounting are also expected to be present to provide input where needed.
