Events, experiences, thought-leadership, and public conversations will aim to find solutions to the world’s problems

Looking to be a change maker? An extraordinary schedule of events, experiences, thought-leadership, and public conversations about world issues has been announced for Expo 2020 Dubai.
People and the Planet is a programme that aims to harness the connective power of the Expo to kick-start transformative change. The programme will run across the entire six months of Expo 2020, anchored by ten theme weeks and 18 international days that explore key issues of global significance.

Through the theme weeks, participants will investigate solutions to critical global challenges, ranging from climate change and biodiversity loss to bridging the global divide and ensuring equal access to education and healthcare.
There will be more than 220 events involved, from large forums and public conventions to seminars and workshops. The World Majilis, Expo 2020’s signature platform for connecting minds, will play a prominent role, with 53 sessions set to educate and inspire.
You can expect to find topics such as technology and innovation and youth, women, and girls’ empowerment with impactful ideas from leading experts including Dame Jane Goodall, Sir Tim Smit, and Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri, UAE Minister of State for Advanced Technology and the woman behind the Emirates Mars Mission.
Expo 2020 Dubai isn’t too far away now, and will be running from Friday October 1 until Thursday March 31, 2022.
