Bubbly export expansion

9 January 2013

Even experienced exporters need to continually evolve their operations and keep abreast of changing conditions and regulations.

At a recent Explore Export event in Leeds Chamber International was approached by Datatech Scientific Ltd (DSL), which supplies sample preparation equipment and laboratory automation systems. Although the business has been involved in international trade for more than two decades, the company wanted to be more competitive and needed assistance in reviewing freight purchasing, payment terms and customs authorisations.

DSL, which acts as the UK agents for German and Belgian equipment manufacturers, has been looking at new overseas markets including Asia and Africa.

Director Linda Matthews met up with Gemma Price and Joe Baker to discuss Chamber International’s full portfolio of international trade services.

“It was a very useful meeting and we’ll be using some of their resources in the future,” she said.

Linda, pictured with Gemma on our homepage, was also the winner of a bottle of champagne in our prize draw.
