This higher-level workshop looks at Incoterms® in detail and is designed for people who have some understanding of Incoterms®, or who have previously attended our Incoterms® - The Basics workshop, and wish to take a deeper dive into the subject.
The session will also benefit solicitors, freight handlers and those working in documentary credit departments of banks. The course will take you through the more complex areas of Incoterms®, and covers:
- Detailed look into each Incoterm
- The obligations/articles in Incoterms®
- Incoterms® and sales contracts
- Sales contracts and their relationship to other contracts under Incoterms
- Incoterms® and the carrier
- Freight Forwarder Instructions
- Different levels of insurance under CIP and CIF
- Arranging for own transport under certain terms
- Caution when using variants
- A tour of ICC Publication no 723E - the official copyrighted source of information on Incoterms® Rules 2020
