Top Calderdale exporters reveal secrets of their success

Three of Calderdale’s leading exporters are set to share their export journey, offer their insights and reveal their top tips for local businesses looking to break into international trade at an event organised by UKTI, the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership and Calderdale Council.

The free breakfast event aims to help grow the Calderdale economy by helping every business fulfil their export potential.

Being held at Dean Clough in Halifax on November 11, it is aimed at entrepreneurs looking to take their first step in exports, businesses wanting to get top tips on expanding overseas operations or for anyone wanting to meet valuable contacts willing to share their expertise and global networks.

Speaking at the event will be:

Summit Consulting – Led by founder Scott Watson, the HR consultancy and leadership training business has transformed its fortunes by targeting new business in the Middle East. Trading on the strength of Brand Britain, Summit has won a wealth of new clients across the United Arab Emirates.

Monarch Mobility – As the largest mobility supplier in the UK, Monarch Mobility had already proved the strength of its offer at home. However, with big ambitions to deliver more growth, the business embarked on an ambitious export strategy that has seen its products delivered to customers around the world.

Food and Drink Exportese – Based in Hebden Bridge, the company was created by three former colleagues from Food from Britain and provides support, contacts, lucrative introductions and unique insights to manufacturers looking to break into new overseas markets.

Those attending will also receive a free copy of a new guide to international trade called Five Steps To Export, which offers simple advice on identifying and winning new opportunities overseas.

The free event at Dean Clough on November 11 starts at 7.30am.
