Philippines authorities postpone import measures
26 July 2014
The Philippines Bureau of Customs (BOC) is to delay extending the scope of its bulk and break-bulk cargo programme which was to be implemented next month (August) due to operational issues at the Port of Manilla.
The programme is to be extended at a future time to include all containerised cargo arriving at, or destined for, the Philippines.
Chamber International partner organisation Intertek has been accredited by the BOC to carry out the necessary surveys and inspections of cargo and provide mandatory reports required for customs clearance.
