Omega forms new logistics partnership with XPO

3 April 2018

Omega Plc has partnered with XPO Logistics to manage the distribution operations of the company across the UK, as part of Omega’s “multimillion-pound investment and expansion programme”.

The logistics firm will use a dedicated fleet to transport Omega’s products, which will be delivered by two-man teams and will include home delivery direct to customers’ houses.

Through the partnership, Omega’s customers will benefit from a new app, two-hour timed delivery slots, improved order tracking and live delivery updates, the company said.

“We are delighted to begin our partnership with XPO Logistics, and look forward to their world-class service as they take over responsibility for the delivery of all Omega kitchens,” said Omega Plc distribution head Ian Gordon, pictured alongside Dave Finnie of XPO Logistics.

“As Omega continues to invest and expand, it’s imperative that our partnerships develop and grow with us to ensure we continue to deliver the highest level of logistical support and performance alongside enhanced communication and service for our customers.”

XPO Logistics Europe transport managing director Luis Angel Gomez added: “Omega is an ambitious company with a strategy to scale up its operations. We presented them with a tailored, nationwide solution that is designed to generate substantial cost efficiencies.

“Our team will manage a highly integrated distribution network that will allow Omega to continue to focus on its customers and bring high-quality kitchen units to market.”
