In addition, exporters must supply the date of payment, name of bank and the official document number of documents listed on the commercial invoice for each shipment. These measures have been introduced by the Saudi Arabian Government to help counter money laundering.

This new regulations also stipulate that goods shipped through fast parcel carriers will only be cleared if the method of payment is declared on the customs declaration.
This ruling has already been implemented at the Al Batha border. Exporters are advised to meet this new requirement to avoid delays to customs clearance.
