DSV lift with Stannah renewal
18 July 2017
DSV has retained Stannah’s UK business thanks to its transparency and local approach to business.
Stannah, who first met DSV on their stand at Multimodal 2009, is celebrating its 150th year in 2017. It remains a family business and offers its customers a range of lift products including loading systems, Microlifts, platform lifts, homelifts and stairlifts. The company has evolved over the years, but remains focused on its initial values of providing both quality and service to all its customers, in both commercial and domestic sectors.
DSV collects over 150 stairlifts from Stannah’s head office in Andover on a weekly schedule, and delivers into depots located around the country, including Dartford, Bristol, Coventry, Norwich, Sheffield, Newcastle and Glasgow. In addition, around 80 consignments per week are delivered into a number of independent dealerships around the country.
Chris Ward, Distribution Manager at Stannah Stairlifts, said:
“We first made contact with DSV in 2009 and have been working with them since 2012 with our UK our road business. In 2013 we awarded all of our European road business to them thanks to their enthusiasm, customer focus and the commitment they demonstrated to Stannah.
“Despite being a long-term customer, DSV continues to explore opportunities for us to improve on current procedures and route optimisation, resulting in greater cost efficiencies and improved service. This ensures we continue to enjoy an excellent relationship with key personnel at DSV.”
DSV’s long standing relationship with Stannah ensured the team was already familiar with DSV’s values and level of service.
Christopher Malyon, Sales and Marketing Director at DSV UK commented:
“We work hard to make it easy for our customers to do business with us, and whichever part of the business a client is familiar with, our ‘One DSV’ approach means they will receive the same levels of service and the same personable approach from any one of our colleagues across the whole of DSV.
“We respect every customer’s business and take time to get to know and appreciate their commercial priorities and their products, while ensuring they are comfortable with the service we are offering before we begin. Yes, this takes time, but our customers appreciate this personable, small business approach, knowing that we are empowered by DSV’s global team, our collective expertise and our dedication to delivering high quality services.”
