Clipper signs pan-European deal with Smiffys
12 June 2017
Clipper Logistics has signed a new contract with fancy dress supplier Smiffys, which has a network over 5,000 stockists globally. The new contract will see Clipper take care of inbound stock management, storage, fulfilment and returns for Smiffys, throughout Europe.
Smiffys wanted to establish a comprehensive logistics network across Europe, and following the successful operation run by Clipper in Kempen, Germany, Smiffys decided that the business was the perfect partner for their logistics needs on a broader scale.
Tony Mannix, Chief Executive of Clipper commented:
“We’re delighted to have signed this new contract with Smiffys. We have extensive experience in a range of services and operations across Europe for a number of leading retailers, providing us with the necessary skills and capabilities to provide the reliable, quality service that Smiffys require. We’ve been running a highly successful operation for Smiffys in Kempen for some time, and so we’re looking forward to continuing our great work together, and helping deliver a great customer experience.”
Ross Johnson, Head of Operations at Smiffys said:
“We have been working collaboratively with Clipper to meet the needs of our growing customer base in Europe. By holding stock locally, this project will enable us to improve delivery times and stock availability. We are delighted to add this facility to our operations in Sydney and Dallas as well as our existing UK footprint.”
