Chamber International supports exporters at lab-tech conference

Britain’s trade association for the instrumentation, control, automation and lab-tech industries held its annual laboratory conference last week, bringing together industry leaders to discuss topical issues.  Chamber International was one of only 4 specially-invited partner organisations to participate at this headline event in GAMBICA’s calendar.

Peter Bainbridge (pictured left below) attended for Chamber International, and provided expert international trade advice to a number of companies at the full-day conference which featured talks on sustainability, procurement and an economic forecast.

Jacqueline Balian, GAMBICA Sector Head for Laboratory Technology, said: “One of the most successful sessions at the conference was one in which members debated what’s working best right now in terms of sales approach.

“Members hugely enjoyed sharing their experiences and hearing those of others, people went away from the conference with renewed enthusiasm for growing their market share in 2023 and beyond.”

Scott Marsden, Laboratory Dealer Manager from US-based Ohaus Corporation, was one of those sharing insights at the event. He said: “It was great to present our unique distribution model and answer questions from GAMBICA members. The conference provided a good mix of access to market knowledge and networking opportunities for lab businesses.”

Peter Bainbridge said: “The conference was an opportunity to hear at first hand some of the the export challenges that GAMBICA members face, from customs issues and international payments, to staff retention and continued market uncertainty. Through our partnership with  GAMBICA we look forward to helping their members overcome these challenges, enabling them to realise their export potential.”
