Chamber International launch new innovative ‘toolkit’ for small business

10 December 2015

AN INNOVATIVE cloud-based business toolkit designed to be ‘your business in your pocket’ is being launched exclusively in Leeds today (Thursday 10 December).

Chamber International edge - export document generation environment - is packed with sophisticated and innovative features which will provide small businesses with the equivalent of their own stock management, logistics, customer relations and export document departments - all in one slice of software accessible through the cloud from anywhere in the world via phone, tablet, laptop or PC. No more fiddling with memory sticks or finding lost files.

Speedy shipment and prompt payment in a low-cost solution with simple functionality are at the heart of the concept which simplifies exporting for smaller companies and opens the door to huge potential overseas markets.

Trusted export experts Chamber International, based in Yorkshire, have been collaborating with IT specialists Morgan Goodwin for the past 18 months on the development of the edge toolkit and it is now available exclusively through them.

Tim Bailey, director of Chamber International, said: “We are very excited about this innovation. It really chimes with what Chambers of Commerce are all about: helping small businesses to grow and access new markets around the world.

“We’ve all had laptops fail when we’re about to make an important presentation or struggled to get access to our company server while away on business. edge is the answer to this, it’s a mobile office - your business in your pocket.”

Chamber International edge is a subscription service but a number of six-month licences are available for free to businesses signing up at the We are International network event on Thursday at Addleshaw Goodman in Leeds.

Once firms have registered, getting started takes seconds and there’s nothing to install.

The edge concept has been in development for more than three years with input from leading businesses and the fact it is cloud-based means that refinement, flexibility and expansion is a constant process.

Geoff Runcie, managing director of IT specialist Morgan Goodwin, said: “CI is an ideal partner for Morgan Goodwin because our respective strengths are harnessed to ensure the most cost effective and complete solution for business. Whether you are looking at EDGE as a business improvement tool to upgrade your existing work processs or you are a newco just setting out and needing a business process tool - edge can do both, and much more.

The team from Morgan Goodwin will be at the We are International Network event on Thursday where Chamber International edge will be demonstrated.

The event runs from 4.30pm-6.30pm and costs £15 plus VAT.
