New export regulations for some goods issued by Iraq

2 August 2017

New export regulations for some categories of goods being sent to Iraq have been issued by the country’s embassy.

The new regulations, issued to the UK through the Arab British Chamber of Commerce, London, apply to exempted goods and deferred payment goods, bound for Iraq.

Iraq has requested that these items must be exported under the name of the final receiver and, where the goods are exempted from duty taxes or custom tariffs, they should have the receiver’s name and the phrase “Not For Sale” printed in a transparent label for each item.

Thirdly, the goods being exported must be related to the type of business that the receiver operates.
