New, FREE 1-1 transition support helpline

Chamber International has successfully secured government funding from The Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, via Leeds City Region LEP, to greatly increase our one-to-one trade advisory capacity to help businesses at this difficult time.

Businesses need to adapt quickly

Now that the “Transition Period” is over, and new border rules and procedures have come into effect, British businesses are facing a vastly changed trading environment – and some serious challenges.

Those challenges vary from company to company – each one is different, with their own unique supply chains, markets, and types of goods travelling across borders. Some are having to consider questions of origin, get conversant with Incoterms, and deal with customs declarations for the very first time, and even experienced traders who did their best to “get ready” are struggling. At Chamber International, we’ve seen a huge increase in enquiry numbers as a result.

One stop technical support

The funding will pay for six highly-experienced trade specialists to work alongside Chamber International’s advisors at its Yorkshire headquarters. Among them is Mette Werdelin Azzam, who recently completed a ten-year tenure with the World Customs Organization in Brussels, an independent intergovernmental body whose purpose is to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Customs administrations. Mette was head of the Origin Sub-directorate from 2010, dealing only with rules of origin and free trade agreements, and is a world-leading expert in her field.

No form filling, just sound advice.
