Cancer cells grows 3-dimensionally in human body therefore, the application of MTS in PET was new and was issued for patent. All these studies were performed 2-dimensionally until today by measuring area. Measuring 2D limits the precision and validation. 3D measurement is much closer to reality. This technique separating necrosis from viable part and you can study the effect of the drug and dose in relation to the size of these parts. Commercial licenses and Academic licenses are available. The software is available for both PC and MAC.
