About the roundtable

Hugh Freer, President, MasterMover Inc

Hugh Freer spent the early part of his career in the business to business publishing sector. However, for the last 15 years he has worked for MasterMover in a variety of sales, marketing and company director roles. In 2017 he founded our North American business, based in Charlotte (NC) and he continues to serve as President for that business.

MasterMover was formed in 1995 and they’ve grown to be the world’s leading manufacturer of pedestrian operated electric towing equipment. Headquartered in Ashbourne, Derbyshire they export to over 70 countries worldwide. Their customer base is predominantly global blue chips and it is incredibly diverse, ranging from the NHS through to NASA.

Shaun Khan, Managing Director Loadhog Ltd & Director Gripple Ltd

Shaun Khan has been part of the Gripple family for over 16 years, initially joining Gripple as Product Manager and then going on to establish a successful business for Gripple in India, setting up a sales & assembly unit.

Since returning from Gripple India, over 5 years ago, Shaun has worked for Loadhog Ltd as Managing Director successfully growing the business from £6m sales to £26m.   

Loadhog was formed in 2003. It designs and manufactures returnable packaging solutions for a diverse range of industries, from manufacturing, postal to retail. Headquartered in Sheffield, United Kingdom, along with a site in Europe, they are a multi award winning business known for their market-leading RTP innovations. They deliver to over 50 countries worldwide. In 2020, Loadhog won the Queens Award for International Trade.

Joe Prendergast, Market Insights Consultant, OE Electrics

Joe joined OE Electrics in 2017, having spent eight years living in the States and growing a small commercial furniture manufacturer from inception to a multi-million turnover business.

Joe's role at OE Electrics comprises market research, market analysis and consulting to build up a knowledge-base from a customer’s point of view. He has been heavily involved in researching the US market opportunity, and establishing the company's presence there in 2020 with the launch of OE Electrics Inc.

Wakefield-headquartered, OE Electrics manufactures power, data and USB charging solutions, supplying more than 60 countries. OE Electrics has manufacturing sites in the UK, Australia and Germany, and a global distributor network. In early 2020 the company launched a new North American business - OE Electrics Inc.
