BCB is a business-to-business professional services company established with the mandate to provide operational support and market entry services in the UAE to British companies. It works alongside the British government to deliver on-demand trade services, providing practical assistance, guidance and orientation for UK exporters.

BCB’s primary aim is to help British businesses, particularly SMEs, expand into the UAE. BCB it provides UK companies with incubator-style support to help them get underway in the UAE.

Main features & points:

  • Companies attain a Dubai or Abu Dhabi trade licence and are established ‘onshore’ allowing for complete market access (i.e. rather than in a Free Zone) 
  • The company formation types available are ‘Branch of a Foreign Company’ or ‘Representative Office’ maintaining 100% ownership by the UK parent company 
  • The obligatory local UAE National Service Agent is provided and managed by the BCB as part of the scheme, through Dubai Government 
  • The BCB provides the mandatory commercial office address & registration required for all companies in the UAE, without the need for companies to take their own lease 
  • UK firms incubate with the BCB for a period of up to 24 months 
  • A single employment visa is available to each UK company 
  • Membership of the British Business Group is included in the programme 
  • UK firms have access to DIT sector leads in-country & relevant working groups 
  • The BCB provides a vetted shortlist of corporate service providers for incoming British firms to tap into 
  • Annual cost of AED 90,000 (split over 4 quarters) 
  • Meeting rooms available and monthly Flexi-Desk rental (at additional cost) 
  • Options for Abu Dhabi and other company formation types are also available through partners
