#GBEXPO19 Trade Official - David Marsden  

David Marsden is the Director UK & Ireland of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. A graduate of the London School of Economics, in Economic History, David spent 10 years in the private sector, in financial services, advertising, and interior design before joining the TDC in January 1986.

     
GBEXPO19 - Trade Officials - David Gardner  

David Gardner has been country Director at DIT Chile since September 2017. He has been a member of HM Diplomatic Service since 1978 and has served in varied roles in Colombia, Spain, Afghanistan, Mexico, France, Japan, Poland, El Salvador and Honduras. A Spanish speaker with long experience in Latin America, he is keen to publicise Chile as an ideal stepping off point for the region, with its free market approach, excellent business environment and a population with an anglophile outlook.

     
 

Dr Evgeny Polyakov is a senior transformational leader with 20 years of project management, business development and international sales experience gained with top OEMs in the UK, Europe, USA and the Middle East.

He currently oversees Hayward Tyler regional business development and sales in the Middle East, Russia and Caspian region.

     
 

Yassin Nahi is the representative of the British Centre for Business in the UK.

The BCB is a business-to-business professional services company established with the mandate to provide operational support and market entry services in the UAE to British companies.

     
   

Ms. Elsherif was appointed Secretary-General of the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce in 2016. Prior to this, she worked as a Business Relationship Manager for several international companies including Infracon and Shimco International. Iman also worked at the Medical Office of the Egyptian Embassy in London and at the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.   

     
GBEXPO 19 Trade Officials - Abdeslam El-Idrissi  

Abdelsalam El-Idrissi, one of the UK’s leading experts on Anglo-Arab trade relations, Deputy CEO & Secretary General of the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce.

During his 36 year career with the ABCC, he has developed important relationships with British Chamber of Commerce, government bodies, educational institutions, NGOs as well as the UK-Arab business communities as a whole.

     
GBEXPO 19 Trade Officials -  Peter Keszthelyi  

Peter Keszthelyi is Vice-President of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce.

The UK ranks as the fifth largest investor in Hungary, and the city of Budapest contributes 40% to the country’s GDP. Peter is keen to develop bi-lateral trade links with the UK on behalf of the Budapest Chamber  which holds details of 200,000 registered companies and has 4,000 members.

     
 

Rohit Singh is Head of Market Entry & Research at the UK India Business Council

Rohit's specialisms include the Indian regulatory environment and corporate affairs. He's been instrumental in setting up factories, establishing business start-ups and managing business transitions on behalf of many US and European companies in India.

     
 

Zoltán Horváth is Attaché for Trade & Investment at the Consulate General for Hungary in Manchester.

Prior to becoming Trade Attaché, Zoltan worked for the Hungarian Prime Minister’s Office specialising in international collaboration and organising trade delegations.

     
GBEXPO 19 Speakers - Maria Kotova  

Maria Kotova is a Head of UK and Ireland Desk and Senior Advisor at Dezan Shira & Associates based in Shanghai office. With a strong understanding of China regulatory issues, business environment factors, and industry services, Maria advises foreign businesses on corporate formation, taxation and legal issues for their investments in China and SE Asia. Maria has been living in China for 9 years working with FDI investments to Asia.

     
Christopher Gaunt  

Chris Gaunt has been Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce Turkey since 2013. He is a highly accomplished and respected businessman with invaluable international experience across several business sectors, and has held senior management positions in the UK and internationally. He has his own consultancy company “Euroasia Consultancy” in Istanbul and is a Board Member at Suzer Group Istanbul Turkey and Advisory Board Member at Global Thinkers Forum London UK.

     
Chris Innes-Hopkins  

Chris Innes-Hopkins was appointed UK Executive Director of the Saudi British Joint Business Council in March 2014, and CEO of SBJBC UK in July 2014.

He heads the Secretariat in London and is a former senior diplomat having held positions in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Ankara and Jerusalem, with wide experience of Middle East economic and social development in both public and private sector roles.

     
   

Chris Thatcher has lived in Thailand since 2003, when he ran a World Bank Education project working for the government of Thailand.

He is now Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, as well as member of the Legal Group and the D&T Group, and is involved in the Young Professionals Group. 

     
Mark Ashton  

Mark Ashton is the founder and leader of Resolve, an ecosystem of expert individuals and niche SME partner consultancies. He is a mentor, coach and trusted advisor.

His area of expertise covers UK/USA business growth, and his career spans over 30 years in B2B sales, as well as 20 years in strategic consulting in the UK, Europe and North America.

     
Philip Gray  

Philip Gray is the Director of Brazil Business Hub and has been working on the Brazilian market since 2009 originally as part of his supply chain consultancy work on the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. His experience with private and public sector clients involves sectors including power engineering, oil and gas, medical, aerospace, domestic utilities and sports infrastructure. He is also the founder of Commercial Doctor Ltd launched in 2005.

World Trade Summit
